MEMBERSHIP FEE REBATE from 50% of NRMA mutual profits.

In answer to a question at the 2007 AGM members were told that NRMA profits will "never be used to reduce membership fees". It was claimed that this would be "financially irresponsible".

We think this is wrong.

The NRMA is a MUTUAL and its only purpose is to provide benefits to members.

Using profits to reduce membership fees is a powerful benefit for members.

With your support we will put a motion at the 2008 AGM to rebate 50% of the profits to reduce fees.

REVERSE the 60% FEE RISE for NRMA Directors.

The current directors were elected in 2005. In nominating, they accepted the level of fees at the time. Less than two years later, they put a motion to increase their fees by 60%, at the 2007 AGM.

Richard Talbot would have opposed this motion if he had been on the board.

The fees were approved by proxy votes held by the chairman - with less than 10% of the membership voting.

We think this is wrong.

With your support we will put a motion at the 2008 AGM to reverse the increase.
